The Trans Collective operates out of SCC213 in the Ryerson Student Centre at 55 Gould Street. Stop by our office to access a trans-inclusive support space. We also operate as a Collective, meaning that you can join our space and help direct our organisational mandate, find a social and activist support network and decompress.
Our space is facilitated by trained peer-to-peer volunteers to create safer spaces with tools in active listening and anti-oppressive practices. If you require specific services or crisis intervention we encourage you to contact the Collective in advance when possible.
New for 2016, the Trans Collective has a clothing bank program for trans students! Our goal is to provide safe, barrier-free access to clothing that makes you feel comfortable.
Stop by, drop off clothes you don’t want, pick up clothes you do! You can also donate clothes without taking any, or you can take clothes without donating any. We just ask that you use this resource with consideration for others.
Currently, we are most in need of larger sizes and more “masculine” clothing.
