Queer & Trans People of Colour Collective @ Ryerson Student Centre, Shadd Room

Join the Racialised Students’ Collective, RyePRIDE and the Trans Collective for our monthly Queer & Trans People of Colour Collective (QTPOCC).

The QTPOC Collective was formed out of a desire to have more spaces for racialised and indigenous queer, trans and questioning to talk about the intersections and microagressions faced daily. It’s also a space to create support, community and social environments for our community.

Please note that this space is exclusively for racialised and indigenous students only. The Racialised Students’ Collective hosts a number of other events that are open to all members of the Ryerson community; however, we ask that non-racialised people respect the need for this racialised-only spaces.

Please send an email to qtpocc@rsuonline.ca, or stop by the office on the second floor in the Student Centre if you have any questions or concerns.

The organisers strive to create accessible and inclusive spaces for all of its members. If we require any accommodations to ensure your participation, please email equity@rsuonline.ca

Peer-to-Peer Support Meetings @ Ryerson Student Centre, SCC213

Peer-to-Peer Support Meetings @ Ryerson Student Centre, SCC213

We will be hosting our support meetings of the winter semester every other Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Trans Collective office (SCC 213)!

This meeting is simply just a chill way to meet, hang out with, and talk to other trans students at Ryerson. These meetings have an emphasis on community support, so be prepared to take and give space to others!

—————————————-

The Trans Peer to Peer Support Network is a network of trans students working together to support one another through conversation, direct action, and community building. These meetings will provide you the tools to challenge discrimination, navigate self care, and will give you a platform to make friends through community care.

Please be advised that these meetings are only open to trans students, including those who are non-binary and gender diverse. You can be full time, part time, distance ed, or even taking a semester off! All are welcome as long as you abide by the RSU equity statement and community guidelines.

If you have accessibility concerns or need tokens to attend the meeting, please contact us either via Facebook PM or email us at transcollective@rsuonline.ca

Vegan and Gluten Free options will be available! If you have a food preference, let us know!
